Mansfield University and Mountaineer Athletics will celebrate the 15
th season of the women’s soccer program on September 17, as part of Family & Friends/LUMA 2016 Weekend.
The women’s soccer program played its first game in 2002 and has been under the direction of head coach Tim Dempsey for every season of its existence. The start of the 2016 campaign marks the 15
th season of women’s soccer at Mansfield.
All players, coaches and staffers involved with the women’s soccer program are invited to return on Saturday, September 17 when the Mountaineers host Pitt-Johnstown in a PSAC contest at Karl Van Norman Field.
There will be a pregame tailgate reception for all returning players and their families prior to the start of the game. All returning players will receive a special MU women’s soccer scarf and t-shirt. Scarves will also be available to anyone to purchase at a later date.
