Women’s Cross Country Moves Up to No. 10 in Latest National Poll

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Women's Cross Country Moves Up One Spot to No. 10 in Latest National Poll

NEW ORLEANS – The Mansfield women's cross country team moved up one spot to No. 10 in the latest USTFCCCA Division II National Coaches Poll released today.

It marks the highest national ranking in Mountaineer cross country program history.

Grand Valley State tops the poll after winning its 13th straight Midwest Regional title.

Mansfield is coming off a best-ever second place finish at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships this past weekend after placing four runners in the top 15. With the second place finish at regionals, Mansfield will make its first ever trip as a team to the NCAA Championships in Spokane, Wash. on Nov. 23.

Earlier this season, the Mountaineers won their first PSAC Championship in program history by defeating four nationally-ranked programs and ending Shippensburg's five-year run of tittles.

Head coach Mike Rohl is in his 12th season at the helm of the Mansfield cross country program.
