FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kaymee Kelly Named Head Women's Swim Coach and Director of Aquatics

MANSFIELD – Kaymee Kelly, formerly the head coach of the men's and women's swimming programs at Frostburg State and West Virginia Tech, has been named the head women's swimming coach and Director of Aquatics at Mansfield University.

The announcement was made by Mansfield University interim President Dr. Allan Golden at a press conference held earlier today.

“Kaymee is a proven winner and we're pleased she will join us at Mansfield University as we continue to grow the university and our women's swimming program,” Dr. Golden said in introducing her to staff, supporters and members of the women's swim team.

Kelly comes to Mansfield from West Virginia Tech where she recently helped establish the men's and women's swim programs for the Golden Bears and also served as Aquatics Director and Student-Athlete Administrator.

Prior to her stint at West Virginia Tech, Kelly was the head coach of the men's and women's swimming programs at Frostburg State University for three years. In 2009, Kelly was recognized as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Swimming Coach of the Year. She also served as the Aquatics Director and oversaw the CHAMPS/Life Skills program.

Kelly, who still swims competitively at the Master's level, was a four-year letterwinner at Clarion University helping the Golden Eagles to PSAC Championships in 2004 and 2006. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clarion in 2007 with a degree in psychology.

Kelly, who is also a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, earned a master's degree in counseling psychology from Frostburg in 2010.

She becomes the Mountaineers 10th head women's swimming coach since Mansfield first established the program in 1975.
