MANSFIELD – Mansfield University's Kate Pratt has been selected to Daktronics 2^nd team All-Atlantic Region Softball honors as a utility player for her outstanding play during the 2012 season. The Daktronics All-Region team is voted upon by regional sports information directors.

Pratt was a dominate force on the diamond for the Mountaineers this past season leading the team in nearly every statistical batting category while setting school records in home runs in a season with 10 and extra base hits in a season with 25. The sophomore also led Mansfield with seven wins and a save in the circle.

Pratt was named to 1^st Team All-PSAC Central and Capital One 1^st Team All-District honors earlier this month.

Mansfield's 20-15 overall record was its best finish since the 2006 season that saw the Mounties go 21-22. The Mountaineers just missed a PSAC playoff berth with a 7-9 record in the highly competitive PSAC Central division.
