MANSFIELD – Head sprint football coach Graham Johnsen announced that seniors Mike Wang and Matthew Maciejewski will serve as team captains for the Mansfield University sprint football program in 2012.

Wang started all seven games as a defensive back last season, recording 28 tackles including 11 solo efforts. Wang was named to 2^nd team All-CSFL honors in 2011 and All-CSFL honorable mention as a sophomore in 2010.

Maciejewski made the transition from playing defensive end in his first two seasons to starting on the offensive line last season. He was a leader on the Mansfield O-line that allowed just 10 sacks on the season.

Johnsen enters his first season at the helm of the Mountaineer program after serving as an assistant coach at Mansfield for two seasons.

The Mountaineers open their 2012 season on the road at Princeton on Sept. 14 before hosting Army at Karl Van Norman field on Sept. 29.
