FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Amani Khabeer and Katie McFadden Top Finishers for Mountaineer Swimmers in Vulcan Invite

First Day Results

CALIFORNIA, PA - Amani Khabeer and Katie McFadden both took home top finishes in the opening day of the California University of Pennsylvania's Vulcan Invitational.

Khabeer finished fifth in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 31.78. McFadden also finished fifth in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.20.

At the end of the first day, the Mountaineers stand in last place but barely as they have 15 total points while Chatham University has 16. California leads with 111 points and Lock Haven is sitting at a close second place with a total of 105 points.

The Mountaineer swimmers look to secure even more top place finishes tomorrow for the final day of competition.
