FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mountie Slugger Brian Milliman Named Carolina-Virginia Summer Collegiate League Offensive Player of the Year

MANSFIELD – Mansfield first baseman Brian Milliman was named the Offensive Player of the Year in the Carolina-Virginia Summer Collegiate League. Milliman, who was also a CVSCL All-Star selection, played for the West Virginia Wild leading his team to a 28-23 overall team record.

In 42 league games, Milliman hit .385 with 11 doubles, 3 triples, and 2 home runs. He also drove in 47 runs with an on-base percentage of .472 and a slugging percentage of .562, making for an OPS of 1.034.

Milliman made 31 starts at first base last season for Mansfield hitting .253 in 83 at bats.
