Ryan McNamara joins Mansfield sports information staff as graduate-assistant
MANSFIELD –
Ryan McNamara, a 2010 graduate of Lock Haven University and Blossburg native, has joined the Mansfield University sports information staff as a graduate-assistant.
“Ryan is going to have a positive impact on who we are and what we do at Mansfield,” said Director of Athletic Information and Operations
Steve McCloskey. “He did an internship with us this past summer and has proven himself to be a natural in this profession.”
McNamara graduated with a BS in sport administration from Lock Haven after serving his full-time internship at Mansfield this summer. While at Lock Haven, Ryan served as student-manager for the Bald Eagles men's basketball team for a season before being promoted to student-assistant coach. He was also a member of the Sport Administration Society.
McNamara's father Tom and older brother Nate both graduated from Mansfield.
McNamara's responsibilities will include daily web site maintenance for Mansfield's GoMounties.com, game promotions, game statistics, game programs and stories as well as updating Mansfield athletic accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. He will also assist in overseeing the 10 student-assistant sports information staff as well as serve as the primary contact for field hockey, men's basketball and softball during the upcoming academic year.
McNamara will be working towards his masters degree in organizational leadership at Mansfield.
