FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield field hockey ranked 3rd in PSAC West preseason coaches poll

MANSFIELD – The 2010 Mansfield University field hockey team has been picked to finish third in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Division in the PSAC Field Hockey Preseason Coach's Poll released today.

Mansfield head coach Diane Monkiewicz is entering her 13th season at the helm of the Mountaineer program and returns eight starters from last season including All-PSAC West selections Kristyn Grunza, Jaimie Purdy and Jessie Wolski. Monkiewicz also returns seven of the top eight scorers from 2009.

The Mountaineers will open the 2010 season on Sept. 3 at UMASS-Lowell.
